The Great Fireplace Ideas For the Upcoming Fall

The traditional fireplaces are basically square boxes against the wall. But, what if you want something unique? What if you want something you can call your own?

That's when you can use a little imagination and start putting some great ideas together for home improvement. Three tier fireplaces are beautiful and easy to put together. Diamond shaped fireplaces are eye-catching and just as easy. But, the wall unit can also be quite an interesting home improvement project your friends and family will love.

Three Tier Fireplace

The first thing that might come to mind is a stack of fireplaces, one on top of the other. But, this is not necessarily so. A beautiful design would be three different fireplaces in three different areas on the wall.

You don't need a contractor. Three fireplace inserts will do just fine. Your shelving can be designed to run the length or to stagger along the wall. Plants, pictures and fireplace accessories can be used to balance out the space. Create your own design and have fun being the only one among your friend and family who has a three tier fireplace.

Diamond Fireplace

Why does a fireplace always have to stand up straight against the wall? Of course, that looks nice. It's the traditional look. But, some people are just made to want different things.

The diamond is actually an illusion though, because you still need the stability. But if you do it right, people won't notice the solid structure holding up the fireplace. They'll notice the diamond design that stands out the most. The fireplace insert sits on a hearth that rises about two or three feet from the floor based on your taste. Then, the diamond design covers the hearth and brings a unique design structure to the forefront.

You can also take it to the center of the floor with a pedestal type hearth structure. Form the diamond design with a wood frame and glass. The fireplace insert will sit nicely inside and you'll have a fireplace that you can make a fixture in any room.

The Wall Unit

There are wall units that you can purchase like the Milan and the Madrid. But, if you take your diamond design and attach it higher on the wall, you don't need a hearth and you'll be creating a wall unit for yourself. The diamond design only really needs a small shelf in the center to add stability for the fireplace insert. That shelf can be hidden behind the diamond border.

It's such a simple design. The easiest of the designs we've discussed so far. Build a shelf that will hold the fireplace insert. Then, cover with a diamond shaped structure that you attach to the wall around the fireplace. If you want to get a little more complex, but a little more eye-catching, learn how to create a circular frame that can cover the fireplace insert and shelving.

Just using your imagination, you can do it yourself and create wonderful designs that bring your home to life. Fireplace inserts are made for anywhere. Make fireplaces in your bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, sunroom, den, hallway, and anywhere else you think you'd like a fireplace to go.
